There’s always something going on out here. I’ve been thinking about adding a blog to our Buena Vista Ranch business for a while, and I’m finally taking the leap. Hope to be able to share some of what we’ve been living at the ranch since we moved in October 2020.
Here are some bullet-points summarizing our life since our big move from Houston to Navasota:
- Got two dogs and three chickens
- Started a business
- Homeschooled our three kids
- Started adding on to build our house
- Went through TWO major snow events
- Kids learned to mow grass, spray cattle, fix fences, drive the truck, pitch a tent, and start a fire (among other things.)
Life out here has already taught us so much and we can’t wait to keep learning from wildflowers, frogs, little calves and quiet moments outdoors.
Things really do move slower in the country and it’s a daily reminder that life doesn’t always turn out the way we expect it. We can’t control time, we can’t rush a sunset, but we CAN take time to enjoy the moment.
